The Ministry of Education has announced a 46-day summer vacation from June 1 to July 16 in all government and private schools across the country. The purpose of this decision is to give relief to the children from the scorching heat, so that they can spend this time comfortably with their family.

46-day holiday across the country
The dates of the holidays may change slightly according to the rules of different states and regions, but most schools will follow the national guidelines set by the Ministry of Education. This means that even though the start and end dates of holidays may be different in some states, almost all schools will give summer holidays at the same time so that the students can get some rest.
In most places, the dates of holidays will be from early June to mid-July. Talking about the rest of the country, both government and private schools in Tamil Nadu, Delhi-NCR, and Bihar will have a total of 46 days of summer vacation from June 1 to July 16, 2025.
All schools in Maharashtra and Karnataka will remain closed from May 30 to July 14. At the same time, holidays will be given in Rajasthan from May 31 to July 15, which will apply only to government schools. Schools in West Bengal will remain closed from June 2 to July 17, here there will be one day less i.e. a total of 45 days of holidays. So, know the dates of holidays according to your state.
