Registration may start soon
The women of Delhi have been waiting for a long time for the launch of ‘Mahila Samridhi Yojana’. Till now the Delhi government has not started this scheme for women. But, now their wait may soon end! Recently, while talking to reporter, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that a special portal is being prepared for registration in ‘Mahila Samridhi Yojana’.

This portal can be launched soon, on which lakhs of women in the state will be able to register themselves. Rekha Gupta said that at present it may take a few months. However, the women of Delhi may still have to wait a little more about the exact date of launch of this portal.
But the government is certainly working fast on it. Let us also tell you that a provision of ₹ 5100 crore has already been made in the budget for this scheme and a high-level committee has also been formed for this, which is working on the implementation of the scheme.
All eligible women will get benefits
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta clarified that under the ‘Mahila Samridhi Yojana’, all the poor and needy women of Delhi will be given benefits. The government will ensure that no eligible woman is deprived of the benefits. For this, the government is preparing a portal in which eligible women can easily apply and take advantage of the scheme. This reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive development.
What are the eligibility criteria for the scheme
The Delhi government has fixed some important eligibility criteria for the ‘Mahila Samridhi Yojana’. Only those women who will fulfill these criteria will get the benefit of the scheme:
Resident of Delhi
The woman should have been living in Delhi for the last 5 years. This is an important condition to give priority to the native residents of Delhi.
Proof of identity
It is mandatory for the woman applying to have a voter card with a Delhi address. Along with this, an Aadhaar Card will also be necessary, as it is the primary document of identification and verification.

Income Limit
The income limit in this scheme is currently fixed at ₹ 3 lakh. However, the Chief Minister has indicated that it can also be reduced. This means that this scheme will mainly focus on economically weak and needy women.

The main objective of ‘Mahila Samridhi Yojana’ is to make the women of Delhi economically empowered.
