The Haryana government has taken a big step toward women’s economic empowerment. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana at the Indradhanush Stadium in Panchkula. Under this scheme, about 21 lakh eligible women in the state will get a monthly allowance of ₹2,100.
To get the benefits, women do not need to visit government offices. They can now register directly through the Deendayal Lado Laxmi mobile app launched by the government.
The scheme was launched on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s birth anniversary. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was joined by Minister Krishna Kumar Bedi. The government says this scheme is an important step to empower women in the state and improve their families’ economic well-being. Haryana has allocated an annual budget of ₹5,000 crore for this scheme. About ₹415 crore will be transferred directly to women’s bank accounts every month.
What Remarks Did Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Offer?
Chief Minister Saini stated that the scheme is not only a financial support scheme, but is also in support of women’s dignity and their ability to support themselves. He stated that women of Haryana are excelling in all fields funded by the state, such as agriculture, education, sports, all services, etc. The government has a responsibility to provide social security support. Minister for Social Justice Krishna Kumar Bedi stated that this is a historic step to assist out millions of women from poor families to manage their day to day responsibilities more efficiently.
Who Can Benefit?
Age Limit: Women between 23 and 60 years can apply.
Family Income: Only families with annual income up to ₹1 lakh are eligible.
Number of Beneficiaries: In the first phase, about 2,097,256 women will benefit, including 1,414,621 married women and 682,635 unmarried women. Both married and unmarried women can apply to ensure social and economic equality.
When Will the Money Arrive?
The government will start crediting the allowance to women’s accounts from November 1st, Haryana Day. The government says there will be no delay in this scheme.
Application Process
Registration via Mobile App: Eligible women can register in minutes using the Deendayal Lado Laxmi App.
No Need to Visit Offices: The process is completely digital. Women do not need to visit any government office.
Multiple Registrations from One Phone: Multiple women can register using the same mobile phone. This helps families or villages where many women need to apply at the same time.
