In many states, banks will be closed in February for Mahashivratri (February 15). Additionally, banks will also close in some states for local festivals and special events.

What services will be available when the bank is closed?

Even though the bank branch will be closed, customers won’t experience any major issues. UPI, mobile banking, and internet banking services will still be up and running.

You can also withdraw cash from ATMs

However, services like check clearance, drafts, locker-related tasks, and branch counter transactions won’t be available during these holidays. The RBI and banks encourage customers to wrap up their important banking activities before the second week of February, especially in states where Mahashivratri and other local holidays are celebrated. Remember, Shivratri is on February 15th, which is a Sunday.
