Amrit Bharat Express: Big news for railway passengers. Indian Railways has decided to rebrand the Jodhpur-Mau Express train as the Amrit Bharat Express. The train will now run regularly with a new number, providing passengers with improved and modern amenities. With this change, it will become the state’s second Amrit Bharat Express train to operate from Jodhpur. Amrit Bharat Express trains have been launched specifically to provide modern and comfortable services for long-distance travelers.
These trains will offer improved seating, cleanliness, and a convenient travel experience. This decision by the Railways will provide significant relief to passengers in the region and make travel more convenient. This step is considered an important initiative towards the modernization of Indian Railways.
The Railways has made a significant enhancement for the Jodhpur division by upgrading the weekly special express train that operates between Jodhpur and Mau. This train will now be known as the “Amrit Bharat Express,” adopting a regular train number instead of a special designation. This upgrade marks it as the second Amrit Bharat Express in Rajasthan, providing travelers with a swift and comfortable ride.
Jodhpur DRM Anurag Tripathi mentioned that previously, train number 04823/04824 was functioning as a weekly special service between Jodhpur and Mau. Following directives from the Railway Board, it has been decided to regularize this service and operate it under the numbers 14809/14810. The train will be equipped with the latest Amrit Bharat rakes, and the announcement for its regular service date is anticipated soon.
Here are the new features of the upgraded train:
The Amrit Bharat Express emphasizes passenger comfort and safety. It employs energy-efficient “push-pull” technology (with two engines at the front and one at the back), enhancing both speed and punctuality. Furthermore, the train includes modern non-AC coaches, cushioned and comfortable seating, CCTV surveillance, and advanced security measures to ensure a smooth and secure journey for all passengers.
Direct connectivity to many cities of UP
According to Senior DCM Hitesh Yadav, this train will strengthen connectivity between Rajasthan and eastern Uttar Pradesh. It will provide passengers from the Jodhpur, Nagaur, Jaipur, and Bharatpur belts with an excellent option for long-distance travel to Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, and Mau Junction.
