Agricultural tips for farmers

According to agricultural information, if farmers want to get a good yield, it is very important for them to select seeds while cultivating the crop because seeds of many different companies are available in the market. At the same time, agricultural scientists of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur, while recommending the selection of the following seeds for sunflower cultivation, have said that farmers can choose Surya, CO-1, Paradevik for advanced cluster, BSH-1, KBSH-1, KBSH-44, MSFH-1, MSFH-1 for hybrid variety as sunflower seeds, and other varieties.

According to agricultural scientists, when sowing sunflower, 30 to 40 kilograms of nitrogen, 80 to 90 kilograms of phosphorus, and 40 kilograms of potash should be applied during tillage. Additionally, hybrid seeds should be used at 5 kilograms per hectare, while hybrid varieties should be used at 8 kilograms per hectare. Additionally, treat each kilogram of seed with 2 grams of Thiram or Captan before sowing. The month of October is ideal for lentil cultivation. Farmers can choose Mallika (K 77), BR-25, KLS 218, HU L 57, PL 5, and WVL 77 seeds for sowing. During sowing, farmers can apply 20 kilograms of nitrogen, 45 kilograms of phosphorus, 20 kilograms of potash, and 20 kilograms of sulfur during tillage. Additionally, seed treatment should be performed two to three days before sowing.

Should be cautious on using pesticides

Farmers should also treat their seeds to reduce the effects of pesticides. Before sowing, treat the treated seeds with a suitable Rhizobium culture before sowing. Use a seed rate of 30 to 35 kilograms per hectare for small grain varieties, and 40 to 45 kilograms per hectare for large grain varieties. Maintain a row-to-row sowing distance of 30 centimeters.
