PF Account- If you have recently changed your job, then this news is for you. Whenever a private sector employee changes his job, a new EPF account is opened by his employer . However, the old UAN number is used while opening it.
Due to opening of a new EPF account, your money lying in the old account is not visible together. For this, you have to merge both the accounts by visiting the EPFO website. Merging both the accounts is quite easy and you can do it online by following only a few steps.
Online process to merge EPF Account
- First of all you have to visit the official website of EPFO at epfindia.gov.in.
- After this, you will have to go to For Employees in the Services section.
- After this a new page will open and after going to Services, you will have to click on One Employee- One EPF Account.
- Then the EPF merge form will open on your screen.
- Then enter the mobile number registered in the EPF account. Then enter the UAN and member ID and login using the OTP received on the mobile.
- After this a new page will open, where you will see the old EPF account.
- Then enter the EPF account number and click on submit. Your EPF account merge application will be completed and after verification all the money will be visible in one account.
UAN must be activated
To merge your two or more EPF accounts, your UAN account must be active. If you do not know your UAN account, then you can easily check it online. For this, you have to open https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface. Then go to the important inks section and click on Know your UAN. You have to log in with OTP from the registered mobile number. After this, first you have to enter Aadhaar and then PAN number along with EPF account number. On clicking Show My UAN Number, your UAN will be in front of you.
