Link Aadhaar through Internet Banking

Follow these steps to link Aadhaar with internet banking:

  • Login to your bank’s net banking account by entering Customer ID and password.
  • Click on the option ‘Update Aadhaar with Bank Account (CIF)’ in the ‘My Account’ section.
  • Enter password for Aadhaar registration.
  • A new screen will open, enter your Aadhaar number twice in it.
  • Click on ‘Submit.’ You will be notified of successful linking.

 

Link Aadhaar through bank’s mobile app

Linking your Aadhaar card is easy from home using a mobile app. The steps are as follows:

  1. Download your bank’s mobile app from Google Play Store or App Store and login.
  2. Go to the ‘Services’ tab and click on ‘View/Update Aadhaar Card Details’ in the ‘My Accounts’ section.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number twice and click on ‘Submit’.
  4. You will receive notification of successful linking on your mobile.

Link Aadhaar by visiting the bank branch

If you want to link Aadhaar the traditional way, visit a bank branch and do the following:

Ask the bank official for the Aadhaar linking form.

Write your bank account and Aadhaar number carefully in the form.

Attach a self-attested copy of the Aadhaar card with the form.

Submit the form and Aadhaar copy to the bank official. You will also need to show your original Aadhaar card.

Your Aadhaar card will be linked to the bank account after the details are verified.

How to check Aadhaar and bank account linking status?

You can visit the official website of UIDAI to know whether your Aadhaar is linked to the bank account or not.

  • Enter your Aadhaar number on the website.
  • Complete authentication using the security code or OTP.
  • The website will show the status of your linking.
