According to the site, employees from ministries and departments can submit their ideas to the Pay Commission. Additionally, employees from Union Territories, judicial officers, court staff, members of regulatory bodies, and employee unions and associations are also welcome to contribute. Even pensioners, researchers, academics, and regular citizens can submit their suggestions via the website.

Announcement in January 2025
The central government, under PM Narendra Modi, announced the creation of the 8th Pay Commission in January 2025. The Finance Ministry officially notified it in November 2025. This decision was made about a month and a half before the 7th Pay Commission’s term came to an end.
It should be noted that the government has already approved the Commission’s Terms of Reference (ToR), under which the 8th Pay Commission is required to submit its recommendations within 18 months. Based on these recommendations, the salaries, pensions, and various allowances of central government employees and pensioners will be revised.
