Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah introduced the app in New Delhi. It’s already available for both Android and iPhone users, and a lot of people have started using it. Early feedback shows that Bharat Taxi not only provides cab services but also metro booking, bikes, taxis, and autos, making it unique compared to other cab apps.
Operating on a cooperative model, Bharat Taxi gained popularity even before its official launch. They claim that their fares are lower than those of other platforms, and drivers don’t have to pay any commission. This means that all ride payments go straight to the drivers. Drivers are not just service providers; they are also stakeholders in the platform. Now, let’s dive into the features of the Bharat Taxi app.
Support for multiple languages including Hindi
To make things easier for users, the Bharat Taxi app supports Hindi, English, Gujarati, and Marathi. You can easily switch languages in the app’s settings. There are plans to include more Indian languages in the future.
How do you register in the app?
To sign up for the Bharat Taxi app, you need to log in using your mobile number. After entering your number, you’ll receive an OTP for verification. Then, just enter your name, and you’re all set! After that, you can access all the services the app offers.
The interface of the Bharat Taxi app is designed to be simple and user-friendly. When you open the app, your desired destination will be displayed on the screen. While booking a ride, you’ll find various options like Bharat Bike, Bharat Auto, Cab Economy, and Cab Priority.
More affordable rides compared to Ola and Uber
When it comes to pricing, Bharat Taxi offers lower rates than both Ola and Uber. In places like Noida, booking a taxi showed quicker availability with less waiting time. Plus, the app doesn’t implement surge pricing, so fares remain stable even during rain, heavy traffic, or busy hours. Users can store their preferred addresses, like home and work, within the app. This feature saves time by eliminating the need to input addresses repeatedly, allowing for a quick one-click ride booking.
Metro ticket booking option is included
A unique aspect of the Bharat Taxi app is its capability to book metro tickets as well. To use this feature, simply navigate to the service category and choose the metro ticket option. After selecting your station, you can complete the payment using UPI.
Currently available in Delhi NCR
Bharat Taxi was initially tested in Delhi and Rajkot, Gujarat, and it proved successful. It has now officially launched in Delhi NCR, with plans for future expansions into major cities like Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru. To prioritize passenger safety, the app comes equipped with an SOS button. With just one click, this feature sends a help message to a trusted contact. With live tracking and an easy-to-use interface, Bharat Taxi aims to be both an affordable and secure choice.
