30 Days Leave– Good news for central government employees. The central government has taken a big decision and announced to give them 30 days of additional leave. Union Minister of State for Personnel Dr. Jitendra Singh gave information about the leave on Thursday. According to a report, central government employees get 30 days of earned leave under the service rules, which they can take for personal reasons. He gave this information to the Rajya Sabha in a written reply to a question.
He said that under the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972, a central government employee is entitled to 30 days of earned leave, 20 days of half pay leave, eight days of casual leave and two days of restricted leave per year.
Now you can take leave to take care of your elderly parents too
Dr. Jitendra Singh was asked whether there is a provision of any special leave for the Central Government employees to take care of their elderly parents. Giving information about this, he said that the Central Government employees can take all these leaves for personal reasons, which also includes taking care of elderly parents.
Government employees get these facilities
Under CGHS, government employees and their family members get cheap medicines and treatment. CGHS facilities can be availed even after retirement. Women are given 6 months of maternity leave and men are given 15 days of paternity leave. Government employees get the facility of gratuity and PF after retirement. Under the New Pension Scheme, some money is deducted from the salary every month, which is received in the form of pension.
Let us tell you that the central government will soon implement the 8th Pay Commission. It will be implemented from January 1, 2026. This is expected to lead to a big increase in the salary of the employees. The basic salary of level-1 employees may increase from Rs 18000 to Rs 51000. However, no official information has been received about this yet.
