BPSC Pre-2026: Big news has emerged for students preparing for government competitive exams. The BPSC has once again postponed the Preliminary Test (PT) for the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination. The 72nd BPSC PT exam, originally proposed for October 25, 2026, will no longer take place on that date. Sources indicate that the exam is being rescheduled.
It is worth noting that the exam was scheduled for October 25, 2026; however, the BPSC has not yet announced when it will be held. While the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has not yet made an official announcement regarding the new date, the October 25 date had been proposed in the Commission’s revised exam calendar.
Exam Postponed Again
According to reports, the BPSC had proposed October 25, 2026, for the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination PT. However, the exam will not take place on this date. The Bihar Public Service Commission has officially announced this decision. Initially, the exam was scheduled for July 26, 2026, but was later rescheduled to October 25 in the revised calendar. The revised calendar, released in August, had set October 25, 2026, as the tentative date for the PT; now, information has surfaced that this date is also changing.
When Will the New Date Be Announced?
Sources indicate that the decision not to hold the exam on October 25 was made due to unavoidable reasons. However, the Commission has not yet issued an official notification regarding the postponement or the new date. It is reported that the BPSC may issue an official notice regarding this next week. The revised exam schedule will become clear only after the new date is announced.
What Should Candidates Do Now?
Candidates should continue to monitor the Commission’s official website and notifications. Along with the new exam date, the Commission will also clarify the date for the release of admit cards and provide other exam-related instructions.
It is crucial for candidates not to consider October 25 as the final exam date until the Commission issues an official confirmation regarding the matter.
Could the exam schedule change with the new date?
Candidates will learn the full schedule for the 72nd BPSC PT exam once the new date is announced. For now, definitive details regarding the exam will only become clear following the Commission’s official announcement.
Candidates are advised to continue their preparations and to treat only official BPSC notifications—rather than information from social media or unauthorised sources—as the final word.
