Volkswagen Auto India has launched the all-new Tiguan R-Line in the Indian market. The company has introduced this premium SUV in only one fully loaded R-Line variant, which has an ex-showroom price of ₹ 48.99 lakh. This sporty SUV will be sold in India as a CBU, that is, it is fully imported.

Booking of the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line has started. Customers interested in buying this SUV can book it online or by visiting their nearest VW dealership. For booking, customers have to pay a token amount of ₹ 25,000. Delivery is also expected to start soon. Let’s know about the features of this premium SUV.

Design of Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line

The new SUV is built on the updated MQB Evo platform and has many cosmetic changes compared to the standard Tiguan. At the same time, it is 30 mm longer than the previous model. It has 19-inch alloy wheels, new headlights connected to LED light strips, and dynamic 3D LED lamps.

Features and safety of Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line

Talking about the features of the new Tiguan R-Line, it has a redesigned dashboard with a 15.1-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, which has a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Apart from this, features like panoramic sunroof, massaged front seats, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, multi-zone climate control and a rotary controller with inbuilt screen have been provided.

The new Tiguan R-Line has many safety features like 9 airbags, front and rear disc brakes, hill start assist and hill descent control for the safety of passengers. Apart from this, it gets 21 level 2 ADAS safety features like Park Assist Plus, Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Assist, Lane Assist.

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Powertrain

The new Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 2.0-litre, TSI EVO petrol engine mated to a seven-speed DSG 4Motion (all wheel drive) transmission. This engine produces 201bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. In the global market, this SUV is available in petrol, diesel, mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
