New Hybrid Cars Coming to India in 2025 : With raging prices on fuel and a slow-paced development of infrastructure for electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles now sound plausible to Indian consumers. By 2025, the carmakers are betting big on hybrid technology to give on-road car alternatives that are more fuel-efficient than petrol and environmentally cleaner than diesel. These models will combine the best from both worlds, using gasoline and electric power, and will not require the constant charging that the pure EVs do.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid
After rolling out the new Swift with a mild hybrid in global markets, Maruti is also set to bring the strong hybrid to India this year. The Swift is projected to give excellent fuel efficiency, around 35-40 km/l, making it an ideal choice for city users who want modern technology as well as milage in their car. It is expected to feature a new 1.2L Z-series engine with an electric assist system.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor Hybrid
A hybrid version of the newly launched Toyota Taisor is likely to be realized by the end of 2025-Max. Like in the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, what would dominate is the very common Toyota Hybrid technology. Expect smart features, premium cabin quality, and an overall 25-28 km/l perfomance making it an attractive proposition for city families.
City e:HEV
Through the City e:HEV, Honda brings hybrid tech into play and will now extend this to the Elevate SUV. It will, of course, provide serene city commuting, improved efficiency, and regenerative braking for the Elevate Hybrid. This will hit the arena against the mid-size SUV hybrids from Maruti and Toyota.
Hyundai Creta Hybrid (Expected)
In 2025 or at the start of 2026, the Creta Hybrid is reportedly being planned at Hyundai, if not confirmed. Based on the recent facelifts of the Creta, it would be a fine bargain with fuel economy for those who are probably not ready for EVs yet but want something easier on their pockets than a petrol engine.
