A total of 5,09,536 units were sold, compared to 3,91,588 units in August 2024. This shows a year-on-year growth of 30 percent, making it the company’s highest monthly sales record so far.

Strong Growth in Two-Wheeler Segment

The two-wheeler segment saw impressive growth during this period. In August 2024, TVS sold 3,78,841 two-wheelers, while in August 2025, the number increased to 4,90,788 units. Domestic market sales also jumped from 2,89,073 units in 2024 to 3,68,862 units in 2025. This represents 28 percent growth, highlighting the strong demand for TVS two-wheelers in India.

Bikes and Scooters Drive Sales

Motorcycles and scooters contributed equally to this success. In August 2025, motorcycle sales stood at 2,21,870 units, reflecting a 30 percent increase. Scooters performed even better with 2,22,296 units sold, registering 36 percent growth. Popular models such as the TVS Apache series, Jupiter, and Raider 125 played a major role in boosting the company’s performance.

EV Segment Shows Steady Progress

TVS also performed well in the electric vehicle category. In August 2025, the company sold 25,138 EVs compared to 24,779 units in August 2024. This growth, though modest, underlines the brand’s commitment to expanding its electric lineup and meeting rising demand in the EV space.

New Launch Boosts Portfolio

Adding strength to its EV range, TVS recently launched the new TVS Orbiter. This electric scooter is priced under ₹1 lakh, making it an attractive option for cost-conscious buyers. With this launch, TVS is aiming to capture a larger share of the growing EV market while offering a strong value proposition.

Outlook Ahead

With the festive season approaching, industry experts expect TVS sales to climb even higher. The record-breaking performance in August 2025 shows that the company is well-positioned to maintain leadership in the two-wheeler market and expand its dominance in both traditional and electric vehicle segments.
