Triumph Scrambler 400 XC : Triumph Motorcycles has shown the first glimpse of its upcoming bike Scrambler 400 XC on social media. This new bike is going to be launched in India very soon and it is believed that it will be slightly more expensive than the Scrambler 400 X. The price can be kept around ₹ 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
What will be special in Scrambler 400 XC?
Scrambler 400 XC has been designed in a slightly different and more adventure style than the existing 400 X. Many new visual elements have been added to it which give it a more rugged and off-road look.
The biggest change can be seen in its wheels. While alloy wheels are available in Scrambler 400 X, cross-spoke wheels will be available in Scrambler 400 XC which will come with tubeless tires. This will improve both its look and performance, especially for driving on bad roads.
Something new in the design:
This edition will also get a new yellow colour scheme, which will be seen for the first time in Triumph’s mid-weight bikes. Apart from this, it will also get a coloured beak, a small windscreen and a ramp guard to protect the engine.
Engine and performance:
This bike will get the same 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which is found in the Scrambler 400 X. This engine produces 39.5 bhp of power and 37.5 Nm of torque. It will have a 6-speed gearbox. It is expected that the option of quickshifter can also be given in this new variant, which was not in the Scrambler 400 X.
Suspension and braking:
The Triumph Scrambler 400 XC will also get the same hardware as the Scrambler 400 X. It will get 43mm USD forks in the front and adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear. For braking, a 320mm disc will be given in the front and a 230mm disc in the rear.
What will be the price and competition:
The price of Scrambler 400 XC can be around ₹ 30,000 more than Scrambler 400 X. Scrambler 400 X is currently available for ₹ 2.67 lakh, so the price of the new Scrambler 400 XC can be close to ₹ 3 lakh. This bike will directly compete with Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure X.
