Tata Motors, a powerful player in the Indian automobile world, is soon preparing to launch another great product, the Tata Sierra. This iconic SUV is making a comeback in a new avatar, with a strong design, powerful engine options (both petrol and diesel), and a wealth of modern features.

There is tremendous excitement among the people just by seeing its near-production model at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Recently, a design patent has been filed for the final production model of the Sierra, and it has also been glimpsed several times during testing, raising expectations for its launch even more. If you are waiting for an SUV that is at the forefront of style, performance, and features, then the Tata Sierra can prove to be a powerful option for you.

Awesome Exterior

The design of the Tata Sierra is expected to remain similar to the prototype that was shown at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The front will get a high-mounted bonnet and split headlamp design, with LED DRLs (daytime running lights) located on the top and the primary headlight units on the bumper.

Recently, air intake channels have also been seen on the front bumper in spy images. Apart from this, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) sensor has also been spotted on the windshield, which is proof of its modern technology.

Great interior and safety features

It is expected that the Tata Sierra will get the same interior setup as seen in Nexon, Curvv and Harrier. This means that it will include great features like a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof. In terms of safety, the Sierra will be equipped with a 360-degree camera and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System, making it a safe and modern SUV.

Powerful Engine Options

The Tata Sierra will be offered in both ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and EV (Electric Vehicle) variants. The ICE version will get petrol and diesel engine options, including an all-new 1.5-liter Turbo-Petrol Engine that generates 168 bhp of power and 280 Nm of torque.

Apart from this, there will also be the familiar 2.0-liter Kryotec Diesel Engine found in the Harrier and Safari, which produces 168 bhp of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Transmission choices are expected to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed Torque Converter Automatic, which will make driving even more powerful and comfortable.

The specifications of the Sierra EV are yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to share its powertrain with the upcoming Harrier EV. The Sierra EV could offer a maximum range of around 500 km on a single charge, making it a powerful contender in the electric SUV segment.
