Tata Altroz Racer 2025 Review : On the price range of ₹9.5 to 10.99 lakh, the Tata Altroz Racer meets the performance hatchs with a sporty design, turbocharged action, and a premium feature list. Mid-2024 was the launching date of the Altroz Racer, which wouldn’t be seen in showrooms until May 2025 due to a facelift. Enthusiasts gushed about this car because, regardless of being an everyday load-carrier, it packs enough fun and performance.
Eye-Catching Sporty design
The bold design of the Altroz Racer separates it from the normal Altroz. Contrasting dual-tone treatment with blacked-out roof and attention-grabbing racing stripes makes it stand out. Colors such as Atomic Orange, Pure Grey, and Avenue White give the car an athletic stance. A rear spoiler, blacked-out alloy wheels, smoked-out headlights, and special “Racer” badging complete the look in racing theme, which is a hit with the youth.
Turbocharged Performance
The Racer is powered by a turbo-petrol 1.2-litre engine that generates 120 PS and 170 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual for good highway performance and relaxed cruising. It is quite responsive and makes for enjoyable, fuss-free overtaking. Feels worlds apart from the old iTurbo. But short, some drivers would argue that second will be a bit low, for city driving.

Balanced Ride And Confident Handling
The suspension and steering have been tuned such that these yield improved handling. While somewhat on the firmer side, the ride remains fairly comfortable on Indian roads. Light steering in the city weighed up as speed increases gives a lot of control to the driver. Overall, the car feels planted while cornering and handling confidence is there for the enthusiastic driver.
Feature-Rich Interior
Inside the Altroz Racer, it has a sporty display with contrast orange accents and designs specific to the Racer. Features available include the huge 10.25-inch touchscreen, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, voice-controlled sunroof, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, rear AC vents, and ambient lighting. Safety is also well catered for with 6 airbags, electronic stability control, ISOFIX-compatible child seat mounts, TPMS, hill hold, and a 5-star GNCAP rating.

Real World Mileage
The Altroz Racer has good mileage considering performance. Reports from users concerning real-world conditions when used in cities show consumption around 16-17 km/l and upward of 20 at highway speeds. With a 37-litre fuel tank, a good driving range is offered for both city and highway trips.
The Tata Altroz Racer is for anyone looking for a fun little hatch that carries serious safety and premium features to match. Of course, you will miss out on automatic cars, and the manual one needs some getting used to but otherwise it is a pretty practical bargain. If your idea of the perfect machine is a bit sporty in terms of driving pleasure as well as daily comfort, then the Altroz Racer really seems to fit the bill.
