Seeing the increasing demand for CNG cars in India, Nissan is also preparing to launch a CNG variant of its popular SUV Magnite. Recently Renault Kiger has got a CNG option, and now it is expected that Nissan Magnite CNG will also be seen running on Indian roads soon. What features will be available in the CNG variant? Nissan Magnite CNG Engine and Powertrain Options
Nissan Magnite currently gets two engine options – a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Below is the information about the possible CNG variants:
- Engine 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol 1.0L turbo-petrol
- Power 72PS 100PS
- Torque 96Nm Up to 160Nm
- Gearbox 5-speed MT / 5-speed AMT 5-speed MT / 7-step CVT
Like the Kiger CNG, the Magnite CNG can also be launched only with a naturally aspirated engine and manual gearbox. However, there may be a slight drop in its power and torque in CNG mode.

The price of the Nissan Magnite CNG has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be ₹50,000 to ₹70,000 more expensive than its petrol variant.

Expected CNG variants: ₹6.64 lakh – ₹12.40 lakh
