Honda City Sport Edition: Honda’s new introduction launches a visually stimulating refresh for the bestselling City sedan. Its newly launched Sport Edition receives a dark-themed exterior makeover, boosting its road presence without compromising its reliable performance. Aimed at fashion-conscious buyers, this limited edition variant receives subtle but evident changes both outside and in.
Sportier Exterior Design
The biggest makeovers for the Honda City Sport Edition happen outside. The broad chrome strip usually found on the front is replaced by a glossy black strip. A black-out front grille adorns this new aggressive look, and dark-finished outside rearview mirrors add to the style. A ‘Sport’ badge sits atop the boot lid, and a discreet black lip spoiler has been integrated to reinforce its sporting theme.
Grey-finished alloy wheels and a shark fin antenna complete the exterior upgrades. Honda gives this limited-production version three bold color options: Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic.
All-Black Interior Theme
Inside, the cabin gets a complete black treatment in order to ensure the Sport Edition’s comfort-oriented aesthetic. The seat upholstery and dashboard inserts wear a black finish, providing a sportier, premium feel. For a touch of contrast, red stitching accentuates the multifunctional steering wheel, lightly interrupting the monotony of the dark cabin and imbuing it with a sportier, performance-inspired flair.
No Changes in Mechanics
While cosmetic refinements take center stage, Honda has not touched the engine or performance configuration. The City Sport Edition still uses the tested-and-proven 1.5L four-cylinder VTEC petrol engine, which packs 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. This variant, though, comes only with a CVT automatic gearbox—no manual transmission variant is available, prioritizing a more comfortable but refined driving experience.
Feature Highlights
Honda has made sure that the Sport Edition carries over all the premium equipment of the regular City. These consist of paddle shifters, touch-screen infotainment, and Honda Sensing suite (ADAS) for enhanced safety and convenience. Collectively, they form an uptown and well-appointed driving space which complements the sporty looks.
