Design
The new photos almost confirm that the cabin of the next generation Creta will be completely new. Even though the dashboard is still in Camouflage, the overall layout looks cleaner, sorted and premium than before. The design now gives more horizontal feel, as seen in Hyundai’s latest global SUVs.
The inside door handles are also visible with the new design. These seem more simple and elegant, making the entire cabin feel more matured and upmarket. It seems as if Hyundai is now positioning Creta as a premium lifestyle product, not just a family SUV.

Black Leatherette Seats
Spy shots see black leather seats clean inside the test mule. It is expected that this upholstery will be limited to the top variants, but in terms of look it gives the cabin a very rich feel. Most interestingly, the headrests of the front seats, whose design largely resembles the new generation Kia Seltos.
It shows the common design language of the Hyundai-Kia Group. That is, both SUVs will share platforms and technology, but with their own identity. This change may seem small, but only such details make the cabin modern.
Rear Seat Comfort
Most improvement in the new generation Creta is visible to those sitting behind. Spy images clearly show that the rear legroom is higher than before. This means either the wheelbase is extended or the interior packaging is improved.
The most important update is that the three passengers now sitting behind are seen getting adjustable headrests. In the current model, this feature is not found in all variants, so it is a bigger step than both Comfort and Safety. The presence of rear AC vents also remains, which will make it more comfortable to sit back in long drives.

Exterior Design
While the interior is slowly unfolding, the exterior is still hidden in heavy camouflage. The first photographs suggest that the new Creta’s stance will be more straightforward and boxy. The body may look slightly longer and the design more square-off.
The tight camouflage on the front and rear makes it clear that it is not just the facelift, but the entire generation change. It is expected to see new lighting signature, re-designed grill and more modern look at launch.

Platform and Engines
This SUV, known from the Internally SX3 codename, will be manufactured in India only, hopefully at Hyundai’s Tamil Nadu factory. For the Indian market, the company can initially continue to have existing and reliable engine options.
These are expected to include 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-liter turbo petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines. Manual and automatic gearbox options will also remain. But the biggest surprise may be a Strong Hybrid version. Hyundai has already talked about increasing hybrid technology in India, and the new Creta seems to be the most accurate candidate for it.

Launch
Talking about the launch, Hyundai had previously spoken of Q1 2027, but now there are indications that the launch may be brought around Diwali 2026. Combat is steadily intensifying in the mid-size SUV segment and Creta will have to strengthen on every front to maintain its power.
