Design
Let me tell you that the biggest change in the new Bajaj Chetak will be seen in its rear design, which is clear from the teaser released by the company. Now a new horizontal LED tail lamp will be replaced by the old vertical split LED tail light. There will be indicators on both ends of this light bar, while Chetak badging will be given above the middle.

However, the side profile and overall siluette will continue to resemble the existing model to a large extent. This change will be liked by those who want to see something new while retaining Chetakβs identity.
Hub-Mounted Motor
The biggest change can be seen in the motor setup mechanically. The existing Bajaj Chetak offers a mid-mounted electric motor, but in the new model the company can use a hub-mounted motor.

This change reduces the production cost significantly, which directly benefits the cost of the scooter. This is the reason why the new Bajaj Chetak will be positioned below the existing lineup and try to reach a much larger customer base.
Suspension, Brakes and Wheels
Let me tell you that the new Chetak is expected to come up with a fully practical setup. It can be given telescopic forks in the front and twin shock absorbers in the back. There is a possibility of getting a disc in the front and a drum brake in the rear for braking.

Features
Talking about features, the new Bajaj Chetak will not show much. It is expected that LCD instrument cluster will be replaced by TFT screen, reducing both cost and maintenance.
This strategy will make it an easier and less confessing option for first time buyers of EV. Necessary features will remain, but not redundant technology β Just like a trusted daily commuter should have.
