GLS AM: Mercedes-Benz has introduced the GLS AMG Line in India in two models – GLS 450 AMG Line and GLS 450d AMG Line. The SUV is priced at ₹1.40 crore (ex-showroom), with the top-end model priced at ₹1.43 crore. The SUV takes significant design inspiration from the legendary G-Class. With additional touches of AMG, the SUV is imbued with a powerful, sporty, and distinct identity that turns heads on the road.
Sporty and Detailed Exterior
The front apron has exclusive AMG design and sporty air inlets. The front and rear body-coloured wing flares go well with AMG side sill panels. The SUV at the rear is equipped with a rear wing featuring blue-coloured air outlets, an AMG rear apron that appears to be a diffuser, and a chrome trim strip that provides a premium touch. All these come together to offer a road presence that cannot be missed.
Premium Cabin with AMG Touch
Within the GLS AMG Line, the opulence extends. The steering wheel is covered in Nappa leather, finished black with topstitching having a sporty look, and has a three-twin-spoke design. It further features brushed stainless steel AMG sports pedals with black rubber studs. The AMG motif extends to the floor mats and other elements of the cabin, providing a unique touch to the interior.
Engine Options and Power
The SUV comes in petrol and diesel engine. The petrol version features a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder unit producing 375 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The diesel version also features a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder engine churning out 362 bhp and a massive 750 Nm of torque. Both the versions come with a 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. They accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 6.1 seconds and have a top speed of 250 km/h.

AMG Night Package
The AMG Night Package is available for customers to purchase for that extra aggressive appearance. It features 21-inch AMG alloy wheels, a dark chrome four-slat radiator grille, and matte black roof rails. The front and rear aprons receive sporty trim strips to give the SUV an added level of presence on the road. This makes it stand out further in its class.
Record-Breaking Sales in India
Mercedes-Benz has also reported record Q1 FY 2025-26 sales in India. The company sold 4,238 units between April and June, which is its highest-ever quarterly sales in India. More than 16,000 units of the GLS have been sold already in India, validating its large-size luxury SUV status.
