Mercedes E Class: Mercedes-Benz India has sprung a surprise for customers by slashing the price of its best-selling luxury sedan, the E Class LWB. The auto major is celebrating this model’s first anniversary in India, and the timing couldn’t have been more opportune. With the new GST reforms in place, customers now have the option to buy this premium sedan at a reduced price, making it an even better choice in the luxury space.
Direct Gain through GST Cuts
The GST Council recently cut tax on big passenger vehicles from 45–50 percent to 40 percent. Mercedes has transmitted this gain directly to the customers. Due to this action, the E Class LWB is now more affordable by as much as ₹5.2 lakh. This reduction comes at the threshold of the festive season, which makes the sedan more desirable for buyers who desire a stylish yet not-so-bumpy ride.
New Prices of Various Variants
The new prices reduce the price tag of every model in the E Class range. The E200 petrol model now retails at ₹78.5 lakh, while the diesel variant E220d retails at ₹80.5 lakh. On the higher side, the E450 4MATIC AMG Line has a price tag of ₹91.7 lakh. With the update, the E Class is providing greater value than ever in its segment.
First Anniversary Special Gift
To commemorate the first anniversary of the E Class LWB in India, Mercedes has launched a fresh Verde Silver exterior color. This new color adds to the overall premium character of the vehicle. With this launch, the sedan becomes even more fashionable, so the customers receive exclusivity along with cost savings.
Emphasis on Safety and Technology
Mercedes has fitted the E Class LWB with eight airbags, including a center airbag, which is being launched for the first time in India. It comes with blind spot assist and advanced Mercedes PRE-SAFE system, so that the passengers have a comfortable ride with state-of-the-art technology.
Engine Options with Hybrid Tech
The E Class LWB is available in three different engine variants. The E200 features a 2.0L petrol mill that churns out 204hp. The E220d diesel produces 197hp with a 2.0L engine. At the highest end, the E450 AMG Line is equipped with a 3.0L petrol mill that produces 381hp and also features an all-wheel-drive system. Mild-hybrid tech is offered in all models, combining power with efficiency.
