Maruti XL6: Maruti Suzuki keeps enhancing the safety features of its vehicles in India. The company has now incorporated 6 airbags as a standard feature in its luxury XL6 MPV, improving passenger protection at a marginally higher price.

Maruti XL6 Safety Update

The XL6, which previously used to provide only 6 airbags in its top variants, is now equipped with this feature in all trims. Through this move, Maruti Suzuki guarantees improved safety for all the customers. The ex-showroom price of XL6 has been hiked by 0.8 percent because of this enhancement.

Only last week, Maruti had fitted 6 airbags standard to Baleno and Ertiga too. This step reflects the brand’s commitment to safety on all its best-selling models.

Engine and Performance

The XL6 is driven by the new-generation 1.5-litre K15C dual-jet petrol engine, delivering 114 bhp of power and 137 Nm of maximum torque. It comes with a standard 5-speed manual transmission, though a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters is offered as well for those wanting convenience.

Variants and CNG Option

The XL6 is offered in Zeta, Alpha, and Alpha Plus trim levels to customers. Moreover, the Zeta trim level comes with a factory-installed CNG variant that provides improved fuel efficiency and lower operating expenses.

Premium Features

The new XL6 is equipped with premium amenities that differentiate it in its class. There is a 360-degree camera, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, as well as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. SmartPlay Pro connectivity, Suzuki Connect telematics, and wireless charging add to the in-car experience.

Comfort and Ventilated Seats

For the first time, Maruti has introduced ventilated seats in the XL6 to suit the Indian climate where summers and humidity prevail for most of the year. With the six-seat layout and this feature, the MPV is perfect for family customers looking for comfort and convenience.
