Upcoming Kia Cars India 2026-27 Details: Following the immense success of the new-generation Seltos, Kia India is now gearing up to bring two of its most successful and dynamic SUVs, the Kia Syros EV and Kia Sorento Hybrid, to Indian roads.

Scheduled to launch by March 2027, these vehicles will not only be environmentally friendly but also offer strong competition to giants like Tata and Mahindra with their rich features. Learn about these upcoming Kia SUVs’ robust specifications, potential premium pricing, and the key changes that will make them the smartest purchases of 2026-27.

Kia Syros EV

Kia is all set to launch the electric version of its rugged compact SUV, the Syros, by mid-2026. This powerful SUV will be based on the K1 platform, which also underpins the Hyundai Ioniq EV sold in global markets. According to leaked spy images, the Syros EV will feature a blanked-off front grille, fender-mounted charging ports, and robust neon-green brake calipers, giving it a classy look.

In terms of performance, it could feature powerful 42kWh and 49kWh battery packs, which will deliver a remarkable range (WLTP) of 300 km to 355 km on a full charge. With a price tag of ₹14 lakh to ₹18 lakh, it will directly challenge the Tata Nexon EV and MG Windsor EV.

Kia Sorento Hybrid

Kia is planning to bring its luxurious 7-seater SUV, the Sorento Hybrid, to India to give it a strong competition to the dominance of the Mahindra XUV 7XO and Tata Safari. Launching in late 2026 or early 2027, this SUV is expected to be priced around ₹35 lakh.

Globally, it comes with a 1.6L turbo-hybrid engine, but for India, the company may use a powerful 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol hybrid engine, which will also be seen in the new Seltos and Creta. This technology will provide even the heavyweight SUV with impressive fuel efficiency, making it a perfect choice for wealthy families.

Performance and Technology

These two upcoming Kia SUVs are not only in the news for their impressive prices, but also for their impressive technology. While the Syros EV will feature breakthrough features like wireless connectivity and a 360-degree camera, the Sorento Hybrid is expected to feature ADAS Level 2 and a massive, luxurious panoramic sunroof. Kia aims to further strengthen its presence in the Indian market, with strong preparations underway on both hybrid and electric fronts.
