Hero Vida VX2 Go: Amidst skyrocketing petrol prices and expensive electric scooters in the Indian two-wheeler market, Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has made a significant and historic breakthrough under its EV sub-brand, Vida.

The company has launched its most affordable electric scooter, the Hero Vida VX2 Go, targeting middle-class families and daily commuters. Thanks to this revolutionary business model, any customer can now proudly own a high-tech scooter from a premium and trusted brand without the hefty upfront cost.

BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service)

Typically, the lithium-ion battery alone accounts for approximately 40% to 50% of an electric scooter’s total cost, making purchasing an EV a significant financial burden for the average consumer. To address this dilemma, Vida has introduced its unique BaaS program. Under this scheme, you don’t have to pay the full cost of the battery up front when you visit the showroom.

You can purchase the scooter for a very aggressive price of just ₹44,990 to ₹59,490, just for the main chassis and body. Once you bring the scooter home, you pay a nominal battery subscription fee based on your daily or monthly mileage, ranging from ₹0.90 to ₹1.47 per kilometer. This cost is half or even less than that of a petrol scooter, significantly increasing your monthly savings.

Battery Options & Smart Charging

In terms of performance and power, the Hero Vida VX2 Go variant is launched with two powerful lithium-ion battery options, offering customers a choice of 2.2 kWh and 3.4 kWh capacities to suit their needs. The scooter’s most practical and outstanding USP is its removable battery technology. If you live in a multi-story building where there’s no parking space, you don’t have to worry.

You can easily remove the battery by opening the scooter’s trunk and safely charge it by plugging it into any standard 3-pin power socket in your home, shop, or office. Furthermore, with Vida’s nationwide fast-charging network, this scooter is charged and ready to hit the road in no time.

True Range & Performance

Once on the road, the Vida VX2 Go variant gives any conventional 110cc petrol scooter a run for its money. The powerful electric motor delivers tremendous torque to the wheels, ensuring agile and smooth pickup even in heavy traffic.

In terms of range, the 2.2 kWh variant offers a real-world range of 92 kilometers on a single full charge, and the larger 3.4 kWh variant offers a real-world range of nearly 100 kilometers, eliminating the fear of getting stuck on the road while commuting to work or shopping.

For safe rides on busy city streets and open highways, this scooter boasts a robust top speed of 70 kilometers per hour. The scooter also offers two riding modes to suit riders’ convenience: Eco mode for maximum mileage in city traffic and Ride mode for better performance on open roads.
