Hero MotoCorp recently shared information about this new model in an investor call. This bike will be the third product of the partnership between Hero and Harley-Davidson, which has been developed for India and some global markets. Both the companies decided to make premium bikes together in the year 2020, under which X440 and Mavrick 440 have already been launched.

Their bikes have not been very successful in the Indian market. The total sales of X440 and Mavrick 440 from April-June 2025 was only 1,854 units, which is 63% less than last year. Due to low sales, Hero has also discontinued the Mavrick 440, which was launched just 18 months ago.
A big reason for this is the tough competition in the 350-500cc segment. Bikes like Royal Enfield’s Guerrilla, Bajaj’s Dominar and KTM’s Duke are already ruling this segment. In such a situation, Hero-Harley will have to offer something special with its new bike to attract the attention of the riders.

Hero’s strategy
Although Hero MotoCorp is the market leader in 100-110cc commuter bikes, now the company is focusing more on the premium segment and the 125cc class. Apart from the new Harley 440cc bike, Hero is also going to launch two new 125cc bikes before the festive season. Their aim is to compete with competitors like Honda.
