Citroen has introduced the new C3X SUV in India, aiming to take on rivals like Tata Punch, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. Built on the Citroen C3 platform, it comes with enhanced features and a fresh SUV look.
Pricing and Variants
The starting price of the Citroen C3X is ₹7.91 lakh (ex-showroom) for the naturally aspirated manual variant. The top-spec turbo automatic variant is priced at ₹9.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are now open, and deliveries will begin in early September 2025. Select variants also offer the HALO 360-degree camera system as a paid add-on.
Engine and Mileage
The C3X offers two petrol engine choices. The first is a 1.2-litre PureTech 82 naturally aspirated engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The second is a 1.2-litre PureTech 110 turbocharged engine, available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. The company claims the turbo variant can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in under 10 seconds and delivers up to 19.3 km/l mileage.
Safety and Comfort
Citroen has equipped the C3X with Advanced Comfort Suspension tuned for Indian roads, promising a smooth “flying carpet” ride. Safety features include six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, TPMS, high-speed alert, and a perimeter alarm.

Features and Technology
Compared to the standard C3, the C3X comes with 15 additional features. These include Proximity Sense passive entry, push start system, hands-free access, cruise control with speed limiter, HALO 360-degree camera system, auto-dimming IRVM, LED projector headlamps, LED projector fog lamps, LED DRLs, and LED interior lighting.
Inside, it gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen, tropicalised automatic AC for Indian summers, rear USB Type-C charging port, and 315 litres of boot space, making it practical for both daily use and weekend trips.
