Zelio Gracy Plus:Electric scooters are soon the preferred mode of travel for Indian daily commuters. With increasing fuel costs and worsening traffic, consumers are looking to low-maintenance, low-budget EVs. A fresh electric scooter costing less than ₹60,000 has entered the market with features targeting students, working professionals, and delivery personnel.
Zelio Gracy Plus
Zelio E Mobility has introduced the Zelio Gracy Plus as an affordable electric scooter for daily use. It’s designed for those who seek a simple, no-frills ride with essential yet practical features. The scooter has two battery options, a BLDC motor, and a maximum speed of 25km per hour—making it perfect for city commutes and low-speed areas.
Battery Options and Range
Purchasers have the option between gel-based and lithium-ion batteries. The 60V/30AH lithium-ion model, available at a price of ₹65,000 (ex-showroom), has a riding range of 110 km on a single charge. A more pricey 74V/32AH lithium model, which costs ₹69,500, provides 130 km on a full charge.
For those who need a lower out-of-pocket expense, gel-based battery models can be had. The ₹54,000 model will go for 80 km on one charge, while the ₹61,000 model will do 130 km on one charge. This range is sufficient for most short city rides.
Charging Time
The scooter is powered by a 60/72V BLDC motor and uses approximately 1.8 units of electricity per complete charge. When you choose the lithium-ion battery, the complete charging time is about 4 hours. However, the gel battery models take about 8 to 12 hours to completely charge, thus making them ideal for overnight charging.
Price and Variant
The price tag of ₹54,000 (ex-showroom) makes it one of the most affordable EV scooters in the market. The nearest rivals are Ola Gig and Komaki X One Prime, priced at ₹49,999. Though they are marginally more affordable, the Gracy Plus provides a larger battery and range choice.
Warranty and Service Network
Zelio offers a 2-year warranty on the scooter, a 3-year warranty on lithium-ion batteries, and a 1-year warranty on gel battery models. With more than 400 dealerships now and aiming to have 1,000 outlets by the last quarter of 2025, customers will have extensive access to support and servicing.
