BYD Seal EV 2025 India Launch : The Indian electric vehicle market is evolving swiftly, where not only companies are entering SUV segments, now, everyone is venturing into the sedan segment too. BYD, which has already created paths for itself in India through Atto 3 and e6, is readying for an upcoming launch of BYD Seal EV ultimate electric sedan in 2025.
Design and Aesthetic
BYD Seal has quite an avant-garde and aerodynamic design. It gets sun-catching LED headlights, flowing bodylines, and a coupe-style side profile. It has a similar appearance to the Tesla Model 3 but offers a feeling of premium appeal in the city.
Battery and Mileage
BYD Seal gets an 82.5kWh battery pack which could give it a range of close to 570 to 650 km under a single charge. The range is expected to be around over 500 km in India. Also, it will support fast charging which will charge the battery to around 80%within 30-40 minutes.
Performance
This EV sedan is also offered with a dual motor AWD version that can reach 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. An RWD-personal single motor version will also be present, offering better range.
Features
The feature list of BYD Seal is long and premium-one large 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, digital driver display, premium leather seats, panoramic glass roof, and ADAS technology.
Price and launch
BYD Seal EV expected to be launched in India price between ₹ 45 lakh- ₹ 55 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch could probably be in the second half of 2025. It would be in direct competition with premium electric sedans such as the Tesla Model 3 (if it comes to India), BMW i4, and Hyundai Ioniq 6.
Verdict
The BYD seal EV is not just going to be a normal car but the beginning of the ash premium category under which EV sedans would exist in India. A well-placed pricing strategy could cause it to be vying with models such as Model 3.
