New electric scooters: India’s electric two-wheeler market is getting hotter, with long-standing players and new players preparing for fun launches this year. With price, design, and performance improving in all segments, various new electric scooters are making their way to the market with tough competition and better options for daily city commutes.

Suzuki e-Access Launching This Month

Suzuki is entering the EV segment with its initial electric scooter, the e-Access. The model is projected to hit the sales floor in June 2025. It has been designed as an urban commuter. It is offered with a 3.07 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack and a 4.1 kWh motor. The combination provides a claimed riding range of 95 km and a top speed of 71 kmph.

The e-Access also comes with a 4.2-inch TFT LCD dashboard that accommodates wireless smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, further enhancing the convenience and connectivity of the rider on the move.

Hero Vida VX2 Launches on July 1

Hero’s EV division Vida is launching a new electric scooter called VX2 on July 1. The new e-scooter will be placed below the existing Vida V2 lineup and will be priced lower in the segment.

Spy photographs indicate that the VX2 will borrow a few styling elements from the V2, including the switchgear, headlamp, and taillamp design. It should also feature a smaller TFT screen, physical key slot, and fitment of standard 12-inch wheels. Technical specs have not been announced yet, but it is possible that it will borrow the same battery pack as the V2 series.

Affordable Bajaj Chetak Variant Set for June

Bajaj Auto is set to launch a lower-cost variant of its top-selling Chetak electric scooter by the end of June 2025. The new entry-level version is likely to be positioned below the Chetak 3503, and will be modeled on the best-selling Chetak 2903 variant.

While Bajaj has not made the complete spec sheet available, some updates from the 2903 are anticipated, such as a higher riding range, improved under-seat storage, and a battery mounted on the floorboards for improved space usage.

New TVS Electric Scooter To Arrive Later This Year

TVS is also in the fray with an all-new entry-level electric scooter to come later in 2025. The new model, reportedly to be called TVS Orbiter, will be placed below the existing iQube range and aim for budget buyers.

While complete specifications remain to be announced, it will reportedly employ a hub-mounted electric motor, like the iQube. At around ₹1 lakh, the scooter will possibly feature less complex hardware to maintain low production costs—and street prices.
