All-New Toyota Hilux 2025 : Returning with a new generation is Toyota Hilux, which is recognized as the world’s most rugged, robust, and reliable pickup truck throughout its eight generations. It has been an increasing success story due to its strength and durability, selling over 19 million units worldwide.
The Toyota Hilux was a joint venture between Toyota and Hino Motors. It took that place of the Briska and Light Stout models. It boasts a stronger chassis and more rugged handling than other vehicles, making it a favorite for general use, military, and adventure enthusiasts.
New Generation Design
Now, the ninth generation of the Hilux will reportedly be exhibited at the Thailand Motor Expo, along with several changes to its design. The front grille is now taller and more robust. Assuming this new design will cause slimmer headlights with LED light strips, even the rear will have different taillights and wider wheel arches with stronger plastic cladding.
Its chassis will remain in the IMV ladder frame. However, new technologies, electric power steering, and driver assist systems will feature on board. Additionally, more premium materials will feature in the interior, as well as a totally new digital instrument console and larger infotainment screen.
Engine and Performance
The new Hilux will be attributed with a 2.8-litred diesel engine, which is said to produce 201 horsepower and mild hybrid technology in 48 volts. A plug-in hybrid is expected to launch in 2026.
Toyota might also create the GR Hilux for performance enthusiasts. It might utilize the Tacoma’s 2.4 liter i-Force Max hybrid engine, which would churn out 326 horsepower and 465-630 Nm of torque. An all-electric Hilux is also on its way and could reach the showroom by the end of this year.
Hilux India
Launched in India in January 2022, the Hilux is manufactured at the TKM Karnataka plant. It is indeed loved among Indian consumers, and the new generation is expected to fetch even more demand.
