2026 Toyota C-HR EV : Toyota has finally introduced the electric version of its famous SUV C-HR, which will hit the US market in 2026. Earlier this SUV used to come with a petrol engine, but now Toyota has made it fully electric. Let’s know the special things and features of this new electric model.
Better performance and longer range
The new Toyota C-HR EV now comes with a dual motor all-wheel drive system, which makes it ready to run on every road.
It has a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can run up to 467 kilometers on a single charge.
Its total power is 338 bhp, which takes it from 0 to 100 km / h in just 5 seconds.
This SUV has been built on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform, which is specially designed for electric vehicles.

Fast and convenient charging
It gets an 11 kW on-board AC charger.
Also, a NACS DC fast charging port has been provided, so that you can charge the SUV from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
This vehicle also supports Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging, making it easy to charge both at home or at a public charging station.
A battery pre-conditioning system is also provided, which warms up the battery before fast charging in cold weather. This feature works in both manual and automatic modes.
Will come in two variants – SE and XSE
SE variant features-

Premium sound and safety will be available in every model
All trims will get JBL’s 9-speaker premium sound system.
Also, advanced driving assist features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist are also included through Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.
What will be the price and who will be the competitors
The starting price of this electric SUV is expected to be around $42,000 (approximately Rs 36 lakh).
In the US, this SUV will be positioned above the Toyota bZ4X.
Its main competitors will be – Hyundai Kona Electric, Volkswagen ID.4 and Chevrolet Equinox EV.
Its target audience is people who want a sporty, powerful and affordable electric SUV in range.
