Engine Options
The 2026 Kia Seltos, launched in India, will be offered with a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5 liter turbo petrol and 1.5 liter turbo diesel engine. These engines are already considered reliable among Indian customers.
On the other hand, Kia has designed more powerful engines for global markets. It will get the option of 1.6 liter turbo petrol and 2.0 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. The 1.6 turbo engine will come in two different tunes, with a tremendous power of 180PS / 265Nm and 193PS / 265Nm. At the same time, the 2.0 liter NA petrol engine will generate 149PS power and 179Nm torque.
Transmission and AWD
Global-spec 2026 Kia Seltos has also been made quite advanced in terms of transmission. It offers many options such as 6-speed manual, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, CVT and 8-speed torque converter automatic.
The biggest feature is its AWD system. With the help of all-wheel drive, this SUV also gives great grip in bad paths, icy roads and off-road conditions. Hybrid Seltos
Kia has confirmed officially that a hybrid version of the new Seltos will also be launched for global markets in 2026. This step is considered quite important given the rising fuel price and strict emission norms.
Hybrid Seltos in India will have to wait a bit. The India-Spec Hybrid Seltos is expected to be launched in 2027. Prior to this Hyundai will introduce its next-gen Creta with a hybrid powertrain.
