TVS Motor Company has launched its popular electric scooter iQube in the Indian market in a new and improved version. This time the range of the scooter has been increased, the battery has been made more powerful and some changes are also seen in the look. The company has started its booking at dealerships across the country.

New features of iQube S variant:

Now it has a bigger battery than before. Now a 3.5 kWh battery is available in place of the old 3.3 kWh battery.

With this change, its range on a single charge has reached 145 kilometers.

It has two display options:

  • The variant with a 5-inch TFT screen is available for ₹ 1.09 lakh.
  • At the same time, the model with a larger 7-inch TFT screen will be available for ₹ 1.17 lakh.
  • iQube ST Variant – More Range, More Options:
  • Its base version also comes with a 3.5 kWh battery, which is priced at ₹ 1.28 lakh.
  • At the same time, the top model has a 5.3 kWh battery, which is priced at ₹ 1.59 lakh.
  • This battery replaces the earlier 5.1 kWh unit and can now run up to 212 km on a single charge.

Talking about the features:

  • The iQube S gets a 7-inch smart TFT screen which also includes connected technology and user interface.
  • The scooter has 32 liters of underseat storage space, USB charging port and LED lights.
  • For safety, there are front disc brakes and 12-inch tires at the front and rear.
  • Its top speed is 78 km/h and it accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

New design elements seen in iQube ST:

The scooter now has a new dual-tone seat cover.

The backrest and interior panels have been given a beige color finish.

It will also get support for touchscreen display and fully connected features.

Skoda and Volkswagen’s April 2025 sales report – whose performance was strong?

Skoda and Volkswagen have released the sales figures of their vehicles in India in April 2025. This time Skoda has registered a big jump and has made its place in the top-7 auto companies.

Skoda’s sales status:

The new Kylaq SUV has got off to a great start – a total of 5,364 units have been sold.

Last year in April 2024, Skoda sold 2,579 units, while this time this figure has increased by 183% to 7,302 units.

The Virtus sold 1,048 units, while Slavia sales dropped from 1,253 to 1,048.

Kushaq and Kodiaq also saw a drop in sales – Kushaq fell by 32% and Kodiaq by 31%.

No units of the Superb and Octavia were sold, as deliveries of the Octavia are yet to begin.

  • Skoda sales (April 2025 vs April 2024):
  • Kylaq: 5,364 units (was not available in 2024)
  • Slavia: 1,048 units (1,253 units in 2024)
  • Kushaq: 783 units (1,159 units in 2024)
  • Kodiaq: 107 units (154 units in 2024)
  • Superb: 0 units (13 units in 2024)
  • Octavia: 0 units (0 units in 2024 too)

Slight decline in Volkswagen sales:

A total of 2,851 units of Volkswagen have been sold this time, while 3,049 units were sold in April 2024 last year – that is, a decline of about 6%.

Volkswagen model sales:

  • Virtus sales increased by 36% – 1,605 units were sold this time compared to 1,183 units sold in 2024.
  • Taigun sales declined – 1,155 units were sold now compared to 1,758 units sold in 2024.
  • Tiguan sales also declined – 91 units were sold compared to 108 units sold in 2024.

  • Virtus: 1,605 units (1,183 units in 2024)
  • Taigun: 1,155 units (1,758 units in 2024)

What new are Skoda and Volkswagen going to bring?

Skoda is now preparing to bring the diesel version of its Octavia to the Indian market.

At the same time, Volkswagen is planning to bring big SUVs and sports cars like Tayron and Golf GTI to India.

The new R-Line version of Tiguan has been launched in India recently.
