2025 Honda XL750 : Honda has officially introduced the 2025 version of its famous adventure bike XL750 Transalp in Japan. It will be launched in Japan on 29 May 2025. It is expected that this bike can be launched in India by the end of the year or early 2026. In the Indian market, it will compete with bikes like Triumph Tiger 900, BMW F 850 GS and Suzuki V-Strom 800DE.
What’s new in this bike?
Honda has made some great upgrades in the 2025 model. First of all, it now has a dual projector headlight in the front, which will improve the lighting at night and the looks will also look more attractive. Apart from this, the windscreen is now made of ‘DuraBio’ plastic, which is strong, scratch-resistant and environmentally friendly.
Another special thing is that a new air intake duct has been added to the bike, which diverts the air coming towards the rider. This will reduce fatigue over long distances and riding will feel more comfortable.
Improvement in suspension and riding experience
Honda has redesigned the front and rear suspension of this bike to provide a smooth and comfortable ride, whether it is a highway or an off-road track. Its weight has now increased to 210 kg, which is 2 kg more than the old model.
There is no major change in the dimensions but the height of the bike has decreased by 5mm, possibly due to the new windscreen. The seat height is 850mm as before. It gets 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, which have 90/90 and 150/70 size tires.
Braking system and mileage
No changes have been made in the braking system. The bike gets dual disc brakes at the front and single disc brake at the rear. The fuel tank is 16 liters and according to the company, it runs up to 23.1 kilometers in 1 liter of petrol. That is, a distance of about 370 km can be covered in a full tank.
Now a new color option will be available
A new Pearl Deep Mud Gray color of this bike has also been introduced in Japan. The old Ross White and Graphite Black colors are also available. Only Ross White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic colors are available in India so far, but the entry of the new gray color can be done soon.
Same engine, but performance improved
The bike has the same 755cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine as before, which generates 91PS of power and 75Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox. However, this time the fuel injection settings have been tuned so that the throttle response is better at low and mid range RPM. The ECU has also been slightly updated, due to which the engine will now feel more smooth and refined.
What can be the price in India?
In Japan, the bike has been priced at 13.2 lakh yen (approximately ₹ 7.74 lakh), which is about ₹ 32,000 more than the previous model. The current price of the XL750 Transalp in India is ₹ 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and a discount of ₹ 80,000 was also given in March 2025. The new model is expected to be priced between ₹ 11.5 lakh and ₹ 12 lakh in India.
Conclusion
The 2025 Honda XL750 Transalp has made significant changes this time. The new headlight setup, eco-friendly windscreen, improved suspension and new color variants make it even more stunning. There is no major change in the engine, but the performance has definitely been polished more. The wait for its launch in India has now intensified and it is expected that this bike will knock in India by the end of the year.
