Ola S1 Pro: Ola Electric’s high-end scooter S1 Pro can now be bought directly from Amazon with the added convenience of online shopping and a substantial discount. It has a cost of ₹1,59,999 but can be purchased for ₹1,29,999 on Amazon alone. This is a discount of 19%, making it an alluring option for cost-conscious customers. Amazon is also providing free delivery within 15 to 20 days. For making things simpler, an EMI plan beginning from ₹6,365 a month is available. Buyers will, however, have to manage RTO and insurance charges separately.
Better Discount on Ola’s Website
Interestingly enough, Ola’s website prices this model at a lower price of ₹1,17,999. That’s 26% off the base MRP. To add, customers can get their hands on this electric scooter with an EMI scheme beginning from as low as ₹3,299 per month. Note that this EMI is based on the ex-showroom price alone. Adding RTO and insurance, the installment amount will increase marginally.
Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 Battery and Speed Upgrade
The new S1 Pro operates on the Gen 2 platform, which introduces several upgrades over the previous model. It has a 4kWh battery pack like the previous model but with enhanced power output. While the previous variant packed 8.5kW peak power, Gen 2 comes with a more powerful 11kW peak power. This power bump takes the new model up to 120 km/h top speed. Acceleration is also enhanced — it only takes 2.6 seconds to hit 40 km/h, as opposed to 2.9 seconds in the old one.
Lighter and Stronger Build
Gen 2 also has less weight and wiring. It now consists of 5 Electronic Control Units (ECUs) compared to the 10 in Gen 1. The wiring inside has been minimized by 40%, and the weight of the scooter is lower by 8%. While making these reductions, the frame has become lighter but stronger, ensuring a stable and efficient ride.
Range and Charging Time
The updated S1 Pro Gen 2 has a range of 195 km on a single full charge. The battery is charged completely in about 7 hours and 40 minutes. Multiple ride modes — Eco, Normal, Sports, and Hyper — are supported on the scooter to accommodate various riding requirements and personal needs.
