Traffic Advisory: Big news for everyone. If you commute daily in Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, or surrounding areas, this news is very useful. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory on its official social media handle, X. In this advisory, the traffic police have warned people that repair work is underway near Ashram Chowk, due to which traffic will be affected for the next three to four days. Therefore, before leaving home, be sure to know your route to avoid getting stuck in traffic jams.
Why will the road be closed?
According to the Delhi Traffic Police, repair work is underway on a damaged 1200 mm diameter Delhi Jal Board pipeline near Ashram Chowk. The entire stretch of the Ring Road from Maharani Bagh to Ashram will be closed starting at 10 pm on June 15, 2026. This will last for approximately 3 to 4 days.
Which routes will be most affected
According to the Delhi Traffic Police, there may be an increase in traffic congestion on certain routes both during the day and at night. The Ring Road from Sarai Kale Khan towards Ashram Chowk, the road from DND Flyway to Ashram Chowk, and traffic from C.V. Raman Marg onto the Ring Road are included in this.
If you’re coming from Sarai Kale Khan, ITO, DND, Noida, or Mayur Vihar, it’s best to take the Ashram flyover. After that, proceed via Captain Gaur Marg, Okhla Mandi Road, Modi Mill flyover, and then onto Mathura Road.
For those coming from DND Flyway, You can reach Ashram by using either the Barapullah Elevated Corridor or the Ashram Flyover.

The Delhi Traffic Police has requested that the public avoid Ashram Chowk and its nearby areas. Whenever possible, opt for public transportation.
