Monsoon Forecast – IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert for 11 States & Thunderstorm Warning for 20+ States over Next 4 Days

Monsoon Forecast: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain warning for northern India, including Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and UP-Uttarakhand, for the next seven days. An alert has also been issued for heavy rains and thunderstorms in northeast India.

Monsoon Forecast: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has released a major weather update. According to the latest IMD reports, heavy rains are expected in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during the next 7 days. Meanwhile, the Met Department has issued a heatwave alert for some areas of Marathwada and Vidarbha over the next 3-4 days. The IMD has issued a warning of heavy rains in 11 states of the country during the next few days. More than 20 states in the country, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, have been alerted for thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds.

Heavy rain in these 10 states

– Heavy rains are likely in Assam and Meghalaya from June 14 to 16 and again on June 20. Besides, heavy rains are expected in both states from June 17 to 19.

– Heavy rains are expected in Arunachal Pradesh on June 15-16 and June 19-20. Heavy rains are also expected on June 17 and 18.

– Heavy rains are expected in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next 24 hours.

– Talking about the weather in Bihar, an alert has been issued in view of heavy rains in some places on June 16.

– Heavy rains are expected in Kerala and Mahe on June 14 in this region of southern India.

– Heavy rains are likely to occur in Telangana from June 18 to 20.

– Chhattisgarh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and western Madhya Pradesh may witness heavy rains between June 14 and 20.

– An alert has been issued for thunderstorms and lightning between June 16-19 in Western Madhya Pradesh, June 15-19 in Eastern Madhya Pradesh, June 14-19 in Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.

Weather in Uttar Pradesh
According to the Met Department, strong winds of 50-60 km per hour may blow in eastern Uttar Pradesh on June 15. Lightning is also expected. The Met Department forecasts that rain is likely between June 18 and 20. Strong winds of 40-50 km per hour are likely to blow in western Uttar Pradesh on June 14 and 15.

Weather in Bihar and Jharkhand
An alert has been issued for strong winds in Bihar on June 15 and June 17-18. In addition, there is an alert for 50-60 km/h winds on June 16, June 19 and June 20. According to the Met Department, continuous thunderstorms and lightning are expected from June 15 to 20.

Rajasthan weather

Winds may reach 60-70 km per hour (gusts up to 80 km per hour) on June 15 in Rajasthan. There is also a dust storm on June 15. The cycle of storms will continue in both parts of the state from June 16 to 20.
