Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Sea, Pilot Saves Lives

New Delhi – Numerous plane accidents and emergency landings are raising questions about the companies’ oversight. We hadn’t yet forgotten the morning air ambulance crash that killed seven people, and now news of another helicopter crash has shocked everyone.

This crash landing occurred in the sea; fortunately, no one was killed. Overall, a major tragedy was averted. A Pawan Hans helicopter suffered a technical malfunction shortly after takeoff in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Tuesday.

The pilot skillfully crash-landed the malfunctioning helicopter, saving everyone’s lives. No one was injured. Everyone exited the helicopter and thanked the pilot.

Where was the flight headed?

On Tuesday, the helicopter took off from Port Blair and was headed to Mayabunder. Seven people, including the pilot, were on board. A Pawan Hans spokesperson stated that the incident occurred around 9:30 am. The helicopter took off from Port Blair with two crew members and five passengers.

A Sudden Technical Fault

The Pawan Hans helicopter experienced a technical problem shortly after takeoff. Given the helicopter’s dire condition, the pilot acted quickly and crash-landed the aircraft into the sea. The passengers were subsequently rescued safely.

According to officials, the helicopter landed in the sea approximately 300 meters short of the runway upon landing at Mayabunder. Based on preliminary information, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the technical fault.
