New Delhi: It is said that in a democratic country, there are boundaries called the Constitution and the law. If any elected ruler acts arbitrarily, the court becomes an obstacle to these boundaries. US President Donald Trump suffered a major setback from the US Supreme Court.
The court declared all of Donald Trump’s tariffs illegal and repealed them. However, infuriated by the Supreme Court’s order, Donald Trump has now issued a sharp response. He called the court’s decision unfair to workers and a stab in the back.

He stated that he would continue his fight against this decision. He also announced the imposition of an additional 10 per cent tariff. While hearing the petitions, the Supreme Courtcriticisedd Donald Trump, stating that imposing taxes and tariffs is the responsibility of Parliament, not the President.

The Trump administration called the decision “shameful,” and the White House issued a statementsaying ity would try to reimpose tariffs through other laws.

Trump will then impose additional tariffs of this percentage.
Donald Trump announced new action, stating that despite the Supreme Court’s decision, many of his tariffs will remain in place and that he will immediately implement a new 10% global tariff. The National Security Tariff (under Section 232), the existing Section 301 tariffs, and other security-related tariffs will remain in effect immediately.
In addition, he will sign an executive order today imposing a 10% global tariff through Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974. This tariff will be on top of the existing standard tariffs.
Donald Trump also stated that he would use alternative measures to tariffs after the US Supreme Court struck down his global tariff policy, indicating that his administration will pursue other options to advance its trade agenda.
