Gold Rate Today 18 Feb 2026: Gold and silver prices have been falling for the past few days. Silver had fallen by more than 5% around 8:30 pm. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, gold and silver prices picked up again on the Multi-Commodity Exchange. As soon as the market opened, gold on the MCX rose by more than 1%, and silver rose by nearly 2%. Silver had suddenly crashed by more than 5% on Tuesday night.

Silver prices reached close to Rs 2.26 lakh per kilogram during trading. Silver with a March 5 expiry date on the MCX fell by Rs 13,378 per kilogram to Rs 2,26,513. However, as soon as commodity trading began on the MCX on Wednesday, silver prices saw a significant change. Silver prices jumped by more than Rs 5,000 to reach Rs 2,34,000 per kilogram. Speaking of gold prices, the price of gold with an expiry date of April 2nd rose by around 1.15% at Wednesday’s opening, reaching ₹1,53,165 per 10 grams.

How much has gold fallen from its high?
On January 29th, gold reached its lifetime high of ₹1,93,096 per 10 grams. Now, gold is approximately ₹40,000 per gram cheaper than its high.
