Kids Aadhaar Deadline Warning, Do This One Thing to Keep Your Child’s Aadhaar Active

Kids Aadhaar Card : Aadhaar card has become the most important identification document in India, mandatory for every individual. This is especially important for children, as their identity documents require periodic updates. If you have children aged 5 or 15, this news is extremely important for you. Not having correct and updated information on a child’s Aadhaar card can lead to numerous problems, such as not receiving benefits from government schemes or identifying issues.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has stated that necessary updates have been made to the Aadhaar cards of more than 1 crore children across the country. Failure to complete this process on time could impact the validity of a child’s Aadhaar card. Let us provide you with complete information.

What is this important update?

If you also have children of 5 or 15 years of age in your house, then get their biometrics updated in the Aadhar card immediately. In case the biometrics are not updated within the age limit prescribed by UIDAI, the child’s Aadhaar card may become inactive in future. UIDAI has appealed to parents to follow the rules for this process.

In how many steps is this process completed?

In biometric update, the child’s new photo, fingerprint and eye scan are added to the Aadhaar card. This process is completed in two steps. Its first update is done at the age of 5 years and the second update is done at the age of 15 years. The 15-year update is considered final and is valid forever.

What will happen if biometric is not updated?

If this update is not done on time then the child’s Aadhaar will remain with wrong information. This may lead to problems like not getting benefits of government schemes, problems in identification and documents not getting recognition in future. There may also be problems in school admission, opening a bank account or other identification work.

Why is it important to update at the age of 15?

As a child grows, their body and biometric data (fingerprints and eye scanning) change. Therefore, it’s mandatory to update their Aadhaar again at age 15. Failure to do so could lead to difficulties in admissions or competitive exams later on. Parents do not have to pay any fees to update their child’s Aadhaar card. Therefore, parents should not pay any charges or fees to anyone to update their child’s Aadhaar card.
