PM Modi congratulates Tarique Rahman on BNP’s win, says India to support democratic Bangladesh

New Delhi: Bangladesh’s new Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, whose BNP won a landslide victory in the national elections, is likely to be elected. Following the BNP’s landslide victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Tarique Rahman. He shared his congratulatory message via social media. In his message, shared on social media platforms, he expressed unwavering confidence.

He wrote that Prime Minister Modi wrote, “I heartily congratulate Tarique Rahman on leading the BNP to a decisive victory in the parliamentary elections. This victory reflects the confidence of the Bangladeshi people in your leadership.” He stated that India will continue to stand in support of a democratic, progressive, and inclusive Bangladesh and looks forward to working together to strengthen the shared development goals of both countries.
