Women of Bihar are getting Rs 10,000

This scheme was created by the Bihar government to encourage women to pursue self-employment. It offers options for starting approximately 18 types of small businesses. The first installment of ₹10,000 is sent directly to a woman’s bank account if she continues her work for at least six months.

Doing so may also result in additional financial assistance, up to a maximum of Rs 2 lakh. This scheme is only available to women who have applied through the Jeevika group and whose applications have been approved. Women who have already benefited from this scheme will not receive this amount again.

What is the method of applying?

The application process for this scheme has been kept simple, so that more women can join. To apply for the scheme, one must first register on the official Jeevika website. During registration, it is necessary to enter your mobile number, Aadhaar number, bank account details, and information about the business you wish to start.

Following this, necessary documents must be uploaded, such as educational certificates, residence certificates, passport-size photographs, and signatures. If applicable, caste or disability certificates must also be provided. Once the application is approved, the scheme funds are transferred directly to the bank account, allowing the woman to begin her work immediately.
