Ration-Aadhaar Link 2026: How to Link Aadhaar with Ration? Here’s the Complete Procedure

Linking Aadhaar Card with Ration Card has been made mandatory. This decision has been taken to prevent problems in ration distribution. But how to link Aadhaar Card with Ration Card? This work can be done online and offline.

How to link Aadhaar Card and Ration Card online?

  • Go to the official website of the State Food Supply Department
  • https://wbpds.wb.gov.in/.
  • Then you have to enter the Aadhaar Card number, Ration Card number and Registrar Mobile Number.
  • Click on the ‘Continue’ option.
  • An OTP will come to the registered mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP in the relevant space and click on the Ration and Aadhaar Card Link option.
  • This work can be done online as well as offline. This work can be done by visiting the nearest ration shop or Bangla Sahayat Kendra.

How to link ration card and Aadhaar card offline?

All family members should take a photocopy of their Aadhaar cards. The person linking the ration Aadhaar card needs a ration card.
If the Aadhaar card is not linked to the bank account, a copy of the bank passbook must also be taken.
All documents, including passport size photographs, of the senior members of the family must be submitted to the office of the concerned food distribution department.
Biometrics may be required to verify the Aadhaar information.
Once these documents reach the concerned department, you will be notified via SMS or email.
After reviewing all the documents, you will receive a notification when the ration card is linked to the Aadhaar card.

What documents are required to link ration and Aadhaar card?

  • A photocopy of the original ration card
  • A photocopy of the Aadhaar card of all family members
  • A photocopy of the Aadhaar card of the senior member of the family
  • Copy of the bank passbook
  • Two copies of passport-sized photographs of the senior members of the family

Why this link?

This decision is mainly to prevent the use of multiple ration cards. If Aadhaar is linked to ration, the person concerned will not be able to use more than one ration card.
