8th Pay Commission Update: Discussions about the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission are gaining momentum among central government employees and pensioners. Everyone is focused on when the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented. The government has also accelerated its work on the new pay commission.
It is expected that the questions of employees and pensioners will be answered soon. The commission has been allotted a government office to begin its work, where the review report will be prepared. This is raising hopes that good news regarding the 8th Pay Commission may be announced soon.

The committee has formally started its work, which has certainly eased some of the tension. The government has allotted an office to the commission in the Chandralok Building on Janpath in New Delhi. This is the office from where the commission will carry out all its work.
Along with this, the process of recruiting staff on deputation is also underway. Notifications have already been issued. This indicates that the commission’s preparations are gaining momentum.

Only this much time remains.
According to the central government, the formation of the commission was formally approved through a resolution on November 3, 2025. The rule is that the commission must submit its recommendations within 18 months from the date of its notification. Based on this, the commission will have to submit its report to the government by mid-2027.
Three months have passed since the formation of the commission, which means only 15 months, or less than a year and a half, remain. How quickly the commission will complete this work will be determined by the review report. Central government employees have been keeping a close eye on this for a long time.
