PM Kisan Yojana – Good News for Farmers, 22nd Installment May Be Released Soon, Know the Latest Updates

PM Kisan Yojana: The central government runs several schemes in India to increase farmers’ income and provide them with financial security, among which the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is considered the most prominent. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive an annual financial assistance of Rs. 6000 directly into their bank accounts. This amount is given in three equal installments. Millions of farmers across the country are associated with this scheme, and now everyone’s eyes are on the 22nd installment.

Scheme’s Objective and Benefits for Farmers

The objective of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers so that they can easily manage their farming-related expenses. Under the scheme, farmers receive Rs. 2000 in three installments every year. The 21st installment was released in November 2025, benefiting more than 9 crore farmers.

Pattern of PM Kisan Installment Releases

PM Kisan Yojana installments are usually released three times a year. Looking at records, installments have been released around February, August, and November. According to media reports, the 21st installment came in November 2025, and the 22nd installment is now considered the first installment of 2026.

When Can the 22nd Installment Be Released?

According to various reports, different estimates are being made regarding the 22nd installment. Some reports suggest the installment may arrive in the early weeks of February 2026.  However, many reports suggest that this installment may be released between March and April 2026.

Some recent updates also suggest that the government may release the installment before Holi, i.e., by the beginning of March 2026, although an official announcement is still awaited.

What are the Updates on the Official Website?

All information related to the PM Kisan Yojana is released on the official portal pmkisan.gov.in. Currently, according to the available information, the government has not yet made any official announcement regarding the date of the 22nd installment. Farmers are advised to regularly check for updates on the portal.

Reasons why installments might be delayed

If a farmer does not receive their installment, there could be several reasons, such as incomplete e-KYC, problems with Aadhaar linking, or discrepancies in bank and land records. The government has now made e-KYC and Aadhaar linking mandatory to ensure that payments reach the correct beneficiaries directly.
