Monsoon Forecast: The sky has been clear in most cities across the country. Intense cold continues across North India today. Dense fog was recorded in several states on Friday morning. In Delhi-NCR, there has been bright sunshine since morning. Strong winds are expected in Northwest India over the next 2-3 days. The Meteorological Department predicts that people in North India will not get any relief from the cold yet.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning stating that not one, but two Western Disturbances are becoming active. Their effects may be seen in several states. Heavy rain and snowfall are expected in the hilly regions. The Meteorological Department predicts that the weather in the Western Himalayan regions may change completely on February 6th and again between February 9th and 11th. Cold Day Alert in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog is likely to prevail during the morning/night hours in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar during the next 24 hours. Ground frost is also expected in some places in Uttarakhand. Moderate fog may also be seen in some parts of Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab. The Meteorological Department has issued a cold day alert for these states.

Rain Warning in these states
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in some places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh on February 6th. The Meteorological Department has predicted significant rainfall again between February 9th and 11th in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Snowfall is also expected in these states.
Weather in Delhi today
The sky in Delhi and the surrounding areas may remain partly cloudy on Friday. Winds are expected to be 15-25 km/h during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi are likely to range from 22°C to 24°C and from 08°C to 10°C, respectively. Partly cloudy skies and light winds are also expected in Delhi on Saturday. Light fog may be observed in the morning.
According to the IMD, the impact of two Western Disturbances will be most pronounced in the mountainous regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Heavy rainfall and snowfall are predicted in these states. Rajasthan and the Delhi-NCR region will experience cold weather with light clouds and chilly winds.
The Delhi-NCR region may experience biting cold in the mornings and evenings. However, daytime sunshine may provide some relief. According to the Meteorological Department, partly cloudy skies are expected in the capital on February 6th, with wind speeds of 15 to 25 kilometres per hour. Similar weather conditions are expected on February 7th and 8th as well.
Several districts of Uttar Pradesh may experience dense to very dense fog. Extremely low visibility could affect road and rail traffic. Cold winds are expected to blow at 20 to 30 kilometres per hour in Western Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas.
